Kingfisher Heritage third grader Pressley Page will soon be shooting in the home of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky.

Page last weekend won the Region 11 championship of the Elks Hoop Shoot, which serves as a national semifinal.

The third grader made 17 of 25 attempts in winning the 8-9 year-old girls division, which was held in the Dallas area.

Page defeated Elks Hoop Shoot state champions from Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas at the regional event.

Her win qualifies her for the national finals, which will be held April 18-21 in Chicago.

According to the Elks Hoop Shoot website, the 8-9 year-olds will shoot just after 9 a.m. Saturday, April 20.

National finalists will shoot in Wintrust Arena, home to not only the Sky, but DePaul University.

Page is the daughter of Brady and Lindsey Page of Kingfisher.

Brady Page is the boys basketball coach at Hennessey.

The county just missed on having two national finalists.

Brett Reese was the runner-up in the boys 8-9 yearold division.

Both Reese and Marcuz Johnson of Shreveport, La., made 20 of 25 attempts, sending the competition to a shoot-off.

Once there, Reese made 4 of 5 free throws while Johnson was able to claim the championship by making all five of his attempts.

Reese is the son of Jared and Lindsay Reese of Kingfi sher. Jared is the boys basketball coach at Dover, which is where Lindsay also teaches.

Brett is a second grader at Dover Elementary.

Like Page, Reese won the local, northwest district and state competitions to advance to the regional.

The national contest will be live streamed on the Elks National Foundation’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
