The Lone Oak Community Association of Dover held its 28th annual Black History Program at Wannamaker Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 7. Members of the community and family from all over the state, came together to recognize and honor the community’s ancestors, matriarchs and patriarchs who have paved the way and built a foundation of history. Each month, students at Okarche Elementary School are recognized for a good character trait and presented the REAL Warrior honor. REAL is an acronym for Respect, Effort, Attitude and Leadership.
