Read moreKingfisher High School senior Sydney Purintun has been honored for her work as an athletic trainer for the school’s athletes. Purintun was recently named an All- State alternate for the western half of the state by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Trainers. The selection process included an application as well as letters of recommendation from a head coach (Jeff Myers), administrator and a certified trainer. Purintun also had to submit videos of herself taping an ankle and a wrist/hand/thumb and wrapping an ice pack on a shoulder. A committee of athletic trainers took part in the selection process.
