Pictured with club President Colton DeMuth, the two told of their charity, Socks for Seniors, in which they deliver gift baskets to nursing home residents in the Oklahoma City area each holiday season. “With COVID restrictions in effect, many nursing home residents had no visitors and we feel these gifts provide a very needed boost to the happiness of these residents,” McMillan said. The charity started in 2013 and since that time has grown to become a 501(c)(3) organization, allowing for tax deductible donations. In 2020, McMillan said over 2,000 packages of gifts were delivered to 27 nursing homes, the Veterans Administration and Alzheimer’s unit, home-bound seniors and veterans, and 50 homeless seniors in 11 cities in Oklahoma.
