Accompanying Fahlenkamp were his Kingfisher Troop 196 Scout Master, David Johnson, left, and Scouts BSA Cimarron Council Executive Director Steve Williams, right. Williams, who works out of Enid, told Rotary members and guests that the Cimarron Council covered 19 counties in northwest Oklahoma and that scouting was alive and well in the state. He said BSA is currently looking for a part-time employee to work approximately 20 hours a week as a Kingfisher area representative for the Cimarron Council. Williams was raised in Alabama and has been an employee of BSA since 1999. Fahlenkamp, a senior at Kingfisher High School, earned the rank of Eagle Scout earlier this year. Only about 8 percent of all Boy Scouts earn that distinction. Twenty-one merit badges are required to earn the rank. Fahlenkamp has earned 30 during his 10-plus years as a Scout. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
