The summer break ends this week for a large portion of Kingfisher County students.

Classes for the 2025-26 school year begin Thursday, Aug. 7, for students at Kingfisher, Dover, Lomega and Chisholm Trail Technology Center.

Okarche, Cashion and Hennessey schools begin classes Thursday, Aug. 14.

KPS has set Tuesday, Aug. 5, as the opportunities for students and parents to visit their schools and teachers.

Following are the designated times for each:

Gilmour Elementary (Pre-K–1st grade)

Meet the Teacher/ Open House 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Heritage Elementary (2nd–3rd grades) 

Meet the Teacher 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Upper Elementary (4th–6th grades)

Meet the Teacher/Schedule Pick-Up 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Junior High (7th–8th grades) 

Open House 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

High School (9th–12th grades) 

Open House 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
