County makes quick work of light agenda

By

Kingfisher County commissioners approved a contract between County Assessor Carrie Turner and Total Assessment Solutions Corp. at their weekly meeting Monday.

Total Assessments provides assessments on oil industry related property in the county.

Commissioners will hold a pre-bid conference at 10 a.m. Thursday on a bid for planned asphalt overlay projects in all three commissioner districts.

An addendum to the contract, which County Engineer Nik Smith described as only paperwork to meet state requirements, also received commission approval.

In other actions during the 10-minute meeting, Commissioners approved road right-of-way agreements for two pipelines in District 1 – one for a threeinch gas line for Mark West Energy located three miles east and five miles south of Kingfisher and the other for a 10-inch salt water line for BCE Mach III Midstream Holdings at a point seven miles east and five miles south of Kingfisher.

A monthly report for the sheriff’s office received approval.

All commissioners – Chairman Anthony Schwarz, District 3; Jeff Moss, vice-chairman, District 1, and District 2 Commissioner Mike Sparks – were present along with County Clerk Emily Lee, official minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith, Undersheriff Ed Cangiano and citizen visitor Kelly Buck.
