November sales higher for 4 towns and county

Hennessey, Cashion, Okarche, Dover and Kingfi sher County all received sizable increases in their November sales tax checks, the Oklahoma Tax Commission reports.

The OTC collects and disburses sales tax for cities and towns along with the state’s sales tax.

The November 2025 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from September business.

Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically.

The monies they reported this period represent sales from Sept.16 to Sept. 30 and estimated sales from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15.

The disbursement of $207,851,500 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $17,158,965 from the $190,692,535 distributed to them in November last year.

The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $35,651,131.

In county returns, the counties shared in a $37,328,105 sales tax disbursement and $7,293,808 in a use tax disbursement.

Use tax, a tax on products purchased out of state for delivery in the state and which is also handled by the OTC was up for most county entities receiving it.

The numbers for each county entity receiving use tax follows with receipts for November 2024 listed second: Cashion – $10,084.40 and $12,853.40.

Dover – $3,693.98 and $2,828.21.

Hennessey –$18,699.30 and $14,821.14.

Kingfisher – $50,962.55 and $170,312.77.

Okarche – $18,147.24 and $8,582.57.

Kingfisher County – $66,457,85 and $127,585.78.

Loyal does not levy a use tax.

Use tax rates are the same as each entity’s sales tax rate.
