• PRINTING EARLY: The next edition of The Kingfisher Times & Free Press will print a day early due to the July 4 holiday. That moves up the deadline for advertising and legal publications to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, to guarantee placement in that edition.

SUMMER SOUNDS CONCERT SERIES: Presented by The Chisholm, this is a free series of concerts throughout the summer at Horizon Hill in Kingfisher. The next event is Thursday, July 17, and features the Jimmy Lee Jordan Band. Music is 7 to 8:30 p.m. Come early and eat at the on-site food truck. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. RED, WHITE & BOOMFEST: Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce’s annual Fourth of July celebration is this Friday. It starts with a parade downtown at 10 a.m. and concludes with a concert and fireworks in the park that night. In between, the day is jam-packed with family fun. SANTA’S TOYLAND GOLF SCRAMBLE: Help provide a special Christmas for those in need by participating in this four-person scramble at Kingfisher Golf Course on Saturday, July 12. • KINGFISHER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION DUCK RACE: Support Kingfi sher Public Schools students and teachers by taking part in the KEF’s annual fundraiser, which will conclude July 4 at K-Town Kove. For more information on purchasing a duck, see ads throughout this edition.

• RODEO QUEEN AND PRINCESS CONTESTANTS SOUGHT: The Kingfi sher Round-Up Club is seeking contestants for this year’s rodeo, which will be Aug. 1516 at the Round-Up Club Arena.
