• KOOL CARS & KRAZY DAYS: Make your way to downtown Kingfisher this Saturday, Aug. 2, for a full day of family fun, shopping and checking out the coolest cars in Oklahoma. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Kool Cars & Chrome Show, which will include a host of new activities this year. Kingfisher merchants will also be offering some KRAZY sales as well. • KINGFISHER JUNIOR CLASS GOLF SCRAMBLE: Benefits from this four-person scramble go toward the KHS Junior-Senior Prom. The scramble is Sunday, Aug. 24. • WOMEN WALKING WITH GOD CONFERENCE: Kingfisher Church of Christ will serve as a remote site. “You are Mine” is the theme for this year’s women’s Christian conference, which will feature speakers Elaine Denman and Rita Cochrane. The event is 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. It will feature a morning session, a luncheon, a video performance from The Lancasters and an afternoon session. The church is located at 913 W. • SUMMER SOUNDS CONCERT SERIES: Presented by The Chisholm, this is a free series of concerts throughout the summer at Horizon Hill in Kingfisher. The next event is Thursday, Aug. 21, and features Travis Kidd. Music is 7 to 8:30 p.m. Come early and eat at the on-site food truck. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.
