It’s homecoming week at KHS; parade, coronation, game are set this Friday

By

Several weeks of planning and preparation and a week’s worth of activities culminate this Friday night at Kingfisher High School’s football homecoming.

The Jackets will host Bridge Creek in the annual homecoming game.

Prior to that will be the coronation during which the 2025 homecoming queen and captain are announced.

Queen candidates are Emilie Moyeda, Scout Snodgrass and Reese Roof.

The candidates for captain are Jhett Birdwell, Jackson Willbanks and Cale Reagan.

Junior attendants will be Luke Blundell and Lyla Redwine.

The coronation is set to begin at 6:40 p.m. at the football field.

There will be a homecoming day parade at 4 p.m. Friday.

The parade will begin at Walter Building Center and head south on U.S. Highway 81 (Main Street).

The route will end at State Highway 33 and participants will turn west there.

The parade will include the Yellowjacket football teams of all ages, the Pride of Kingfisher marching band, KHS football homecoming court, class floats and the floats of other clubs and organizations.

The Kingfisher High School Student Council has been planning diligently for the 2025 homecoming festivities for several weeks.

The theme for homecoming this year is “Jacket Channel” which is a Disney Channel spinoff theme. There have been “dress up” days with different themes all week at each of the Kingfisher Public Schools campuses.
