‘Pink’ shopping deals, tree lighting are this Friday night
Christmas spirit will be alive and well in Kingfisher this Friday night.
The Community Tree Lighting will highlight an evening full of events, which will include shopping at downtown stores, food, music, entertainment...and Santa.
The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. in front of the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce office at the corner of Main Street and Broadway Avenue (U.S. Highway 81 and State Highway 33).
It will feature caroling and prizes will also be given away.
Before and after the tree lighting, be sure to visit downtown merchants for “Pink Friday” shopping.
Many stores will be staying open late and also offering great deals storewide, including flash sales.
Among them are:
• Angelita & Co. – Offering 30-minute flash sales from 4-8 p.m. Shoppers with a “Jacket Card” will receive 10% off storewide.
• Designs by Dennis – Offering 20% off storewide from 4-8 p.m. and also 30-minute flash sales on select merchandise.
• Pink Zebra Gifts & Nail Salon – Offering 20% off storewide from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
• Baby in Bloom – Hourly flash sales from 4-8 p.m.
• Up From Ashes – Will have vintage Christmas items in stock.

Shoppers can also take punchcards to select merchants for a chance to win prizes.
There will also be food, vendors and face painting at Block 35 (just north of the tree lighting) from 5 to 8 p.m.
That’s where children will have their opportunity to visit Santa and his live reindeer.
After shopping, families are encouraged to take a stroll through Newfield Community Park.
There will be music in the amphitheatre, free 89er Theatre popcorn and a chance to see the park’s new lights.
