17 Hennessey cooks will compete Saturday in annual FOL event
Bragging rights are on the line for the 17 cooks (and still counting as of Monday) in the Hennessey Friends of the Library’s annual fundraiser cookoff event this Saturday from 5:30-7 p.m.
Cooks should bring their chili, stew, mac and cheese, pot roast or chicken and dumplings to the event in crock pots or electric cookers as well as their own ladles or spoons, remind FOL planners.
As usual, the event will be held at the Hennessey High School cafeteria. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and $20 for an immediate family group.

Desserts and Door Prizes
FOL members will bring desserts, including apple pie and homemade cookies, and there will also be many door prizes. All attending are reminded to hang onto your drawing prize ticket after you sign in at the door.
FOL members are also reminded to drop off their prize items to the public library by Friday.
