3 county towns higher in November sales tax report

Cashion, Dover and Okarche had increases in their November sales tax checks compared to November 2022.

The November 2023 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission, which collects and disburses sales tax collections for municipalities and counties as well as the state, primarily represents local tax receipts from September business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically.

The monies they reported this period represent sales from September 16-30 and estimated sales from Oct. 1-15.

The disbursement of $199,342,262 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $6,324,768 from the $193,017,494 distributed to them in November last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $34,557,964.

In county returns, the counties shared in $33,674,125 sales tax disbursements and $6,223,765 in use tax disbursements.

November use tax, which is collected at the same rate as local entities’ sales tax rates, for purchases made out of state for delivery within state that was returned to local entities in November follow with the November 2022 amounts listed second: Cashion – $8,630.11, and $21,408.95.

Crescent – $15,644.24 and $8,784.62.

Dover – $3,372.38 and $3,205.13.

Hennessey – $19,724.95 and $22,500,00.

Kingfisher – $46,561.85 and $87,835.18.

Okarche – $17,278.56 and $14,976.59.

Kingfisher County – $68,668.16 and $210,910.65.
