8 KHS seniors are Rotary guests
Eight Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.
Joining the local civic group were Natalie Ellis, Madelyn Takape, Achilles Branson, JW Struck, Chase Honea, Evan Staples, Brody Boden and Cherith Stephenson.
Ellis is the daughter of Ryan and Kristi Case.
She’s active in vocal and was part of the KHS choir that received a gold first place at New York City.
Ellis plans to attend Redlands Community College and major in education.
Takape is the daughter of Kirsten and Tagi Takape.
She’s active in speech and debate, STUCO and received eighth place at regional debate competition.
Takape is also takes cosmetology classes, participated in the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet where she placed fifth in American Literature and serves as a worship team volunteer.
Takape plans to attend Oral Roberts University and major in Christian counseling and open a hair salon.
Branson is the son of Natalie Branson.
He’s active in band and Lifeway Church.
Branson plans to pursue a career in welding.
Struck is the son of David Struck and Rebecah Warner.
He’s active in band, soccer and art.
Struck is also involved in the Church of the Nazarene.
He plans to attend Olivet and pursue a career as a missionary.
Honea is the son of Heidi Hartzen and Dave Hartzen.
He is involved in gaming, music and skateboarding.
Honea plans to enter the workforce.
Staples is the son of Andrew Ward.
He enjoys hunting, fishing and working on cars and motorcycles.
He plans to pursue a career as a mechanic.
Boden is the son of Jaimie Hightower and Casey Boden.
He’s active in band, was on the golf team and attends Chisholm Trail Technology Center.
Boden plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University and major in computer science.
Stephenson is the daughter of Muffy Roberts.
She’s active in vocal, drama and band.
Stephenson has participated in choir group and solo contests at state competition, placed first at the Nashville Heritage Festival and attended the Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
She plans to take a gap year and then go to college to pursue a career in culinary arts.
