Abercrombie pleads guilty to fraud
Timothy Shane Abercrombie pleaded guilty to bank fraud Thursday during an appearance in federal court.
The former vice president at the Kingfisher branch at InterBank was charged in federal court in April with defrauding the bank of nearly $900,000.
According to charges, Abercrombie used his status at the bank to gain personal information of current and former customers and used that information to process loans.
Abercrombie then opened checking accounts under those customers’ names and had access to the account, using the money for his personal benefit, according to the charges.
See Wednesday’s edition for more on the story, including the sentence handed down to Abercrombie as part of the plea agreement.
