About 60 percent of taxes collected so far
Kingfisher County ad valorem tax collections reached 59.183% Wednesday, County Treasurer Robin Rother announced.
The deadline to pay the 2024 property tax is Jan. 31 (Friday), or at least half of the total due.
Those who elect to pay one-half of their tax bill by Friday may delay paying the second half until March 31 without penalty.
Tax which becomes delinquent draws a 1.5% per month penalty.
The county’s total 2024 adjusted tax roll was $44,089,442. A total of $26,093,614.50 had been collected by mid-week.
A total of $1,829,606.31 has been protested.
