Kingfisher police officers arrested an individual May 22 on the following possible charges, according to reports:
Public intoxication, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana, receiving/possessing/concealing stolen property, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and carrying firearms while under the influence.
Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a report of “shots fired” in the area of Fifth Street and Broadway Avenue.
According to the report, McDaniel located the 22-yearold and 25-year-old male suspects walking westbound on Don Blanding Avenue and made contact with them.
McDaniel said in his report that the suspects denied being in possession of a firearm and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
After receiving permission to search one of the suspects’ backpack, McDaniel discovered a Glock pistol as well as three rounds of 9mm ammunition and a metal tray containing a green leafy substance, the report said.
Dispatch advised officers that the firearm was reported stolen, according to the report.
Upon searching the 22-year-old male, officers located the Glock 9mm magazine, the report said.
Both individuals were placed under arrest.
The 22-year-old suspect was charged with possession of stolen property, public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
The 25-year-old male was charged with public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
Both suspects were transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
