Free school supplies for Hennessey Public School students will be available from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, during the town’s annual Back to School Bash.

As usual, the supplies will be disbursed at the First Christian Church at 500 E. Third St.

This year’s bash will also again include a free swim for local students from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hennessey Aquatic Park.

The Hennessey Fire Department will also provide free hot dogs.

The annual event is conducted and sponsored by Hennessey churches, their members and others in the community.

HPS School Starts Aug. 14

The first day of school is Thursday, Aug. 14.

Teachers will have professional development meetings Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 11-13.

HPS supply lists may be found on the school site for elementary and middle school students.

Parents of students who are not pre-enrolled may go to the Hennessey Public Schools online site now until Friday, Aug. 8, to enroll their children.

All students will need to be enrolled in order to get their schedules.
