Hennessey’s 12th annual Back to School Bash will be held at the town’s aquatic park/pool Sunday, Aug. 8.

The event this year is limited to Hennessey students only because the pool was at maximum capacity last year.

Also, the free school supplies are donated by Hennessey churches, businesses and individuals for local students.

HPS pre-kindergarten through high school seniors are invited to pick up free supplies from 5-8 p.m. at the pool site on Mitchell Road. School principals will be there to help check in students.

There will also be free hot dogs, water and snow cones that afternoon, but no bounce houses.

A free swim will be from 6:30-9 p.m.

The event site could change if the weather doesn’t cooperate, say planners.
