Kingfisher High School seniors Jorden Beck and Emmy Lunsford are the February 2024 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Beck is the son of Anthony and Krystal Beck.

He’s active in baseball, golf, as captain of the academic team and has served as sophomore class president and vice president for his junior and senior class.

Beck is a member of the National Honor Society and served as president, was selected as Student of the Month, on the Central Oklahoma all-conference academic team and as a Questbridge National Match.

He’s also received third place in geometry at the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet and is involved in Students Stepping Up and the Kingfisher First Baptist youth group.

Beck plans to attend the University of Notre Dame and major in history or political science/pre-law.

Lunsford is the daughter of Kenny and Meggan Lunsford.

She’s active in track, cross country, FCA, STUCO and was a member of the 2023 cross country academic state champion team and 2020 cross country team which placed third at state.

Lunsford is involved in the cosmetology program at Chisholm Trail Technology Center and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society, National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.

She’s also on the Center of Family Love Teen Board and involved in the Federated Church.

Lunsford plans to attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in business.
