Jerry and Sheri Beltz, formerly of Kingfisher, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18.

Jerry Beltz and Sheri Deighton were married Aug. 18, 1973, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned, Kan.

He is the son of Lila Beltz of Larned Kan., and the late Earl Beltz.

Sheri is the daughter of the late Jim and Arlene Deighton.

Since being married, the couple have lived in Great Bend, Kan.; Sublette, Kan.; Larned, Kan.; McAlester; Greensburg, Kan.; and Kingfisher.

They have one son, Daren Beltz and wife Shawna of Sterling, Kan.; and one daughter, Erica Biswell and husband Jacob of Yukon; and six grandchildren.

Jerry is retired after serving in the United States Naval Construction Battalion (Navy Seabees) and working in the oilfield.

Sheri was a bank teller and also served as director of financial aid at Chisholm Trail Technology Center prior to her retirement.

The two now travel fulltime in their RV.

Jerry and Sheri spent countless hours participating in the lives of their children and other youth through coaching baseball and softball as well as being involved in Scouts.

They enjoy spending time with family in the mountains and camping and boating at the lake.
