Bid awarded for county’s annex demolition project
Kingfisher County commissioners awarded a contract to K&M Dirt Service for demolition and removal of the Kingfisher County Courthouse Annex Monday.
K&M submitted the low bid of $75,600 to win the project.
The next lowest bid of six submitted on the project was $87,000 by American Demolition. The highest bid was $219,375.
Commissioners declined to act on one bid submitted to upgrade the courthouse electrical system. Commission Chairman Jeff Moss said the bid was incomplete and did not read it aloud.
Commissioners approved several changes in the requisition and receiving officers for county offices.
They included:
•Adding Joann Turner as the requisition officer for the Kingfisher Library.
•Removing retired Fire Chief Tony Stewart as requisitioning officer for the Kingfisher Fire Department.
• Removing Jessica Conner as requisition officer and adding Hailey Countryman as requisition officer for the court clerk’s office.
•Removing Countryman as receiving officer in the Court Clerk accounts office and adding Jordan Salcedo as receiving officer for court clerk accounts.
• Removing Max Rother as receiving officer for District 3.
Commissioners approved payment of claim forms totaling $5,000 to Pinnacle Consulting Management Group, Inc., for work ending Sept. 30 for Project EW700 over an unnamed creek in District 2.
Circuit Engineering District #8 was named as construction manager for three projects on the Dover-Crescent Road in District 2 .
Two public access drives were approved in District 1, one for Lisa Kalman-Lazy K Homestead located 10 miles east and slightly north of S.H. 33, and also, ONEOK Hydrocarbon, LP, received approval for a public access drive 330 feet north of S.H.33 at the intersection with N2930 Road.
A bridge replacement project received approval near N2740 and E830 Roads northwest of Okarche in District 3.
Those present at the meeting included Commissioners Jeff Moss, District 1, chairman; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, vice chairman, and Anthony Schwarz, District 3; County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk; County Engineer Nik Smith, and visitors Tanner Richards of Glen’s Electric, Joseph Mandrino of PEC Engineering, Ryan Deatherage, county emergency management director, and Donnie Head of CED#8 at Alva.
