Seven companies submitted bids for the much-awaited construction of the Kingfisher Fire Department to be built on the east side of Highway 81, on the 1500 block of South Main Street.

The bid amounts submitted (which includes the contingency allowance of $450,000 for each), by company name, from lowest to highest were: $8,533,000 by A&K Construction, Inc.; $8,846,110 by L5 Construction; $9,191,000 by Hoey Construction; $9,309,000 by Shiloh Enterprises; $9,590,000 by W.L. Mc-Natt Co.; $9,855,000 by Firebrand Construction, LLC; and $11,190,000 by Henson Construction.

Ray Holliday of BRW Architects, Inc., opened the bids and announced the amounts bid by each company. He said the bids would all be reviewed in depth and the company to which the project will be awarded would be announced in 10 days time.
