Bids tabled on county parking lot

Kingfisher County commissioners last Tuesday opened bids from five companies on labor and material to build a new parking lot area in the courthouse block, then tabled action until this Monday’s meeting to allow time to study them.

Bidders and their bids included: Firebrand Construction of Stillwater – basic bid, $228,700; sidewalks, $110,200; testing and inspection, $5,680.

Box Construction of Piedmont – basic bid, $198,443; sidewalks, $80,629; testing and inspection, $7,500.

MMS Construction of Kingfisher – basic, $148,625; sidewalks, no bid; tests and inspection, $4,500.

North End Construction of Norman – basic, $139,948; sidewalks, $82,901; tests and inspection, $2,497.

Calm Construction of Yukon– basic, $188,000; sidewalks, $84,500; testing and inspections, $4,500.

Commissioners also opened bids from 40 companies seeking to supply labor and materials as needed for bridge and road work on the county’s six-month supply list. Those bids will take effect on July 1 for the ensuing six months.

Action on those bids also was tabled so that they can be tabulated lowest to highest by the county clerk’s office.

Other actions taken by the board of commissioners included approval of:

• Agreement for detention services as needed for underage detainees with ROCMND Area Youth Services, Vinita, at a rate of $25 per day per child.

• Agreement with Canadian County Juvenile Detention Center, El Reno, to utilize that facility as needed at a rate of $36 per day per child.

• An audit agreement with Angel, Johnston, Blasingame, P.C., of Chickasha to provide services to the Kingfi sher County Educational Facilities authority for fiscal year ending June 2023 at a fee of $4,500 plus filing fees.

• A public access drive for Canvas Energy, LLC located .2 mile east of CR 2850 on CR 750 north of Kingfisher near District 1 shop.

• County Road right-ofway for Iofina Resources for three-inch water line located seven miles west and three miles south of Kingfisher in District 3.

• County road right-ofway for Marathon Oil Co. for four-inch poly line located one mile west of Okarche in District 3.

• Right-of-way for 10inch poly line for BCE-Mach III Midstream in District 1 starting in SWSW Sec. 2517-6 and ending in SE SE Sec. 26-17-6.

• Utility and encroachment affidavit with Oklahoma Department of Transportation in District 1 (Robberts Avenue)

• Declaration of surplus of 2007 Chevrolet pickup and 1984 brush pumper for Omega Fire Department.

All commissioners – Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 chairman; District 2, Ray Alan Shimanek, and District 1, Jeff Moss, were present for the meeting.
