Blair named to elite OSU honor
2024 KHS graduate bestowed Top 10 Freshmen Women status
Chloe Blair of Kingfisher has been named by the Oklahoma State University Mortar Board as a Top 10 Freshman Woman for the class of 2024-25.
Blair learned of the honor Monday evening.
Students are selected based on the criteria of scholarship, outstanding leadership and community service.
Students apply when they are sophomores based on accomplishments during their freshman year.
To be eligible, they first must be named one of the Top 20 Freshmen Men and Top 20 Freshmen Women and then go through an interview process.
Blair was among the initial group as were fellow 2024 KHS graduates Ashley Casillas and Kylie Hood.
Blair is the daughter of David and Shelley Blair.
At OSU, she became involved in Into the Streets, President’s Leadership Council, Student Network Board, Freshman Representative Council, Student Government Association Budget Committee, Aggie-X Club, Letters of Love, Waffle Tuesday and The Table.
She’s also a member of the Kappa Delta sorority for which she’s served as executive director of finance, on the Budget Committee and participated in Spring Sing and Freshman Follies.
She regularly attends OSU athletics and campus events, earned a spot on the President’s Honor Roll and was named an OSU Ideal Graduate and a Campus Life student leader.
At KHS, her honors and activities include valedictorian, National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, superintendent’s honor roll, Student of the Month, Students Stepping Up, FCA, FFA, National Agricultural Issues Forum bronze emblem team, National Conduct of Chapter Meetings team semifinalist and basketball.
