BOCC starts interviews for KCEM director position
Kingfisher County commissioners on Thursday began the process to find a new emergency management director.
Three candidates were interviewed during a special meeting that last just under two hours.
No action was taken and the meeting was recessed until 9 a.m. Friday for another interview.
Once that interview was completed, the meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
Another special meeting has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday during which another interview is expected to take place.
Interviews Thursday and Friday were conducted in an executive session, which is not open to the public.
Assisting Schwarz and fellow commissioners Jeff Moss and Michael Sparks in the interviews on Thursday was Blaine County Emergency Management Director Jim Shelton.
A replacement is being sought for Ryan Deatherage, who resigned the position last month.
