Bonham to talk new agency at KCRW meeting

A director of a new state agency will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Kingfisher County Republican Women.

Virgil Bonham will speak to the group at noon Monday, Feb. 13, at the Interbank Community Room.

Bonham is the director of records management of the new Service Oklahoma agency, which is located at 6015 N. Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City.

Bonham has spent 36 years with the Department of Public Safety, but made the transition to Service Oklahoma when it opened Jan. 1.

The agency was created by the state legislature last May and signed into law by Gov. Kevin Stitt.

Service Oklahoma’s purpose is to modernize and standardize the way the state delivers vehicle services to its citizens, including obtaining driver’s licenses, disability parking placards, car registrations, car title, specialty license plates and more.

KCRW meets the second Monday of each month.

The public is invited to attend and lunch will be provided.

The group is currently celebrating its 20th year.

Officers include Toni Pickle, president; Shilah Jerkins, first vice president; Barbara McCune, second vice president; Denise Boots, secretary; and Tamara Hopkins, treasurer.
