The descendants of Otto and Ella Bredel gathered July 22 for their annual reunion at the Interbank Community Room in Kingfisher.

The family descendants have gathered annually since 1961 with the exception of three years due to deaths and COVID-19.

The Otto Bredel family settled in the Kingfisher area after making the run for land on April 19, 1892, and claimed a farm southwest of Kingfisher.

Hosts for this year’s reunion were the Herman Bredel and Ernest Bredel families – Kristi Stricklin, Karen Lail and Gina Sigl.

The evening was spent visiting and dining on a covered dish meal.

Those attending included: Karen and Michael Lail; Kristi and Wayne Stricklin; Gina and Ken Sigl; Delbert and Brenda Jindra; Fred and Martha Bredel Jr.; Wyatt Bredel; Kayla Bredel; Gene Yost; Carol Yost; Aaron, Samuel and Scott Batson; Janet Batson; Florine Jindra; Brian and Chelsie Williams and daughters Mackenzie and Cora; Robert and Gail Williams; Shawn and Amber Smith; Marilyn Henderson; Jaren (Bredel) Marsh, and Sue Yost.

The 2024 reunion will be hosted by the Fred Bredel family.
