Burns to address Chamber banquet

Kingfisher’s own Braden Burns is the guest speaker Monday when the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce holds its 84th annual banquet.

“Grow With Us” is the theme and the event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds with networking and games.

The dinner, banquet and awards will begin at 6:30 p.m.

That’s when the chamber’s Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year will be announced.

Burns is a 2021 Kingfisher High School graduate who last May was announced as the 2022-23 Oklahoma FFA state president.

He’s the fourth state president from KHS.

The son of Ryan and Lori Burns, he’s currently a sophomore at Oklahoma State University.

This is Burns’ second year on the state officer team as he was the secretary in 2021-22.
