Candidate filing set April 13-15
Statewide election activity officially begins at 8 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, when the filing period opens, Kingfisher County Election Board Secretary Shawna Butts said.
Candidates for state or federal offices file with the Secretary of the State Election Board at the State Capitol, while candidates for county offices file at the county election board in the courthouse.
Butts said county offices up for election this year and the incumbents who currently hold them include: county treasurer (Robin Rother); county assessor (Carrie Turner, incumbent); District 1 commissioner (Jeff Moss), and District 3 commissioner (Heath Dobrovolny).
Filing forms and information may be obtained by contacting the county election board at 405-375- 3895 or KingfisherCounty@elections.ok.gov.
The office is located in Room 8 of the county courthouse, 101 S. Main St., Kingfisher, and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Filing packets for both state and county offices are also available for download on the State Election Board’s website at oklahoma.gov/ elections.
The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Friday, April 15.
