Cars, fun, more in Hennessey Sunday for Cruis’n Oklahoma

Food, shopping, music, kid stuff and lots of cars (old and new) will fill Hennessey’s Main Street Sunday afternoon, April 23.

That’s when Cruis’n Oklahoma returns to share about 1,300 of their vehicles and want others to show their cars, too.

One of the Cruis’n groups plans to leave Piedmont at 10:30 a.m. and head to Hennessey. Piedmont is clearing its downtown area for the riders “so get there a little early to enjoy the company of others,” planners said.

There will be some drivers coming earlier to get a good parking spot, or a good seat at the restaurants.

Follow the Signs

There will be spectator and cruiser parking signs and look for feather flags at participating restaurants and businesses.

The car show and parking are free to spectators and exhibitors.

Food, Shopping, Music

All locally-owned restaurants and shops will be open during the events, and no food trucks will be allowed, according to posters distributed by planners.

Once again, Matthew Streck will be providing music in Memorial Park on Main Street. Donations will go to Forgotten Ministries non-profit in Enid for those in need.

Helicopter Rides/Kid Stuff

Costs are $40 per person for helicopter rides, which will be offered from noon until 6 p.m. north of Dollar General on U.S. Highway 81.

Kids will be kept busy jumping in the bouncy houses and experiencing an exotic petting zoo by A to Z Therapeutic Petting Zoo in the InterBank parking lot (north and east of the stoplight)
