Cash is no longer king at all KPS sport events

62 & OLDER GET IN FREE

By

Cash will no longer be accepted at ticket booths of Kingfisher Public Schools sporting events.

The district is moving away from the cash option and fully transitioning to an e-ticket system where fans will need to purchase their tickets online to gain entry.

“This is a way for us to improve money transactions and accounting for all the funds we receive,” said Athletic Director Jeremy Young.

The district has recognized that some of its patrons - especially the elderly - may not be so inclined to go with an electronic option.

And the district also has a solution for many of them: “Fans who are 62 and older will get in free,” Young said. “There will be no pass required.”

Other forms accepted for entry will include OSSAA passes, the district’s “Super Sport” passes, student passes and senior citizen passes.

Those who don’t have passes and will be paying electronically are encouraged to download the “GoFan” app on their phones.

When prompted, type in “Kingfisher High School” and the district’s list of home events with options to buy tickets will appear.

Once a purchase is made, tickets will be emailed to the address attached to your account and booth workers will be able to verify the purchase on your phone.

Fans can also go to the Kingfisher page on the Go-Fan website at https://gofan. co/app/school/OK21069 Once tickets are purchased there, you can upload the tickets to your device or print them out.

There will also be QR codes at the gate in which fans can scan and make their ticket purchase.

If there are any questions, Young said those working ticket booths should be able to help.

“Our staff is more than willing to assist fans or help answer any questions to make for a smooth transition,” he said.
