Cashion’s Hasley celebrated on 90th birthday
Cashion resident Mary Hasley recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a reception at the Cashion United Methodist Church.
Hasley was born on a farm east of Kingfisher and about eight miles northwest of Cashion on Highway 33 on July 10, 1932, to Walter and Sybil Hasley.
Her July 9 birthday reception was hosted by her children, daughter Judy Nakvinda of Cashion and son Mark Beutler of Oklahoma City.
Decorations were provided by family friends Sabra Malone Huntsberger of Yukon, Tammy McKee and Tawnya Conrad of Oklahoma City, and Kerri White of Cashion.
The church was decorated in pink and yellow flowers, with old photos of Hasley adorning a ribbon stretching the length of the reception hall. Birthday cake, punch and decorated cookies were served.
“I saw so many familiar faces,” Hasley continued. “Some friends I haven’t seen in 40 or 50 years. It was a wonderful way to celebrate 90 years on this earth.
“I told everyone I will see them back in the same location in 10 years!”
