Cashion splits games at OBA
Cashion got its crack at ending Oklahoma Bible Academy’s perfect start to the season.
It’s still intact. Class 2A’s sixth-ranked OBA got 19 points from Lilyan Walden on Tuesday en route to defeating No. 13 Cashion 56-42 in Enid.
OBA, the state runner- up in Class A a season ago, is now 10-0. Cashion dropped to 7-4.
Those four losses are to teams that have a combined three losses among them.
OBA led 13-8 after a quarter and pushed it to 29-18 by halftime.
The Lady Wildcats kept it close, but couldn’t close the gap.
Freshman Kate Nabavi led the visitors with her 13 points.
Brooke Shafer added 12. OBA also got 12 points from Conley Cayot.
Wildcats dominate Trojans, 82-33
Cashion dominated from the start Tuesday in claiming an 82-33 victory over Oklahoma Bible Academy in Enid.
The Wildcats got out to a 28-3 lead and were never threatened.
Ten different Cashion players scored in the game. Three of them reached double figures.
Parker Mitchell led the way with 24 points.
Carson Gump and Drake Woody added 15 apiece.
Cashion upped its mark to 8-3 on the season.
