Celebrating National Co-op Month: CHS empowers local agriculture
October is National Cooperative Month, a time to celebrate the power of collaboration and unity.
At the forefront of this cooperative spirit is CHS Inc., the largest farmer- owned cooperative in the United States.
CHS approaches its owners, customers, and employees as partners, engaging in meaningful partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
Strong relationships and open communication ensures everyone involved in the cooperative system reaps the benefits.
Local investments in agronomy bring value to our farmer-owners.
These investments aren’t just about dollars and cents; they’re about nurturing the growth of local agriculture and ensuring its sustainability.
By providing access to cutting-edge technology, expert advice, and high-quality inputs, CHS empowers local producers to maximize their yields while being environmentally responsible.
“We continue to analyze our business and listen to our customers to make sure we are investing assets and people that create value today and into the future” says Jason Kroener, senior director of operations, CHS Texoma.
At our Kingfisher location, we’re proud to announce some significant upgrades.
We’ve enhanced our capacity with the addition of a 500K UAN liquid tank, ensuring we can meet the needs of our customers more efficiently.
Furthermore, a new seed warehouse and shop have been constructed, providing improved storage and service facilities.
To support multiple crop usage, we’re also in the process of installing seed bins and treating equipment, designed with expansion capacity, so we can continue to grow and adapt as needed.
Cooperatives are more than just businesses; they are communities built on trust and shared values.
CHS embodies this spirit by reinvesting profits into the cooperative, ensuring the benefits of success are distributed among its owners, customers, and employees.
Through partnerships, investments in agronomy, and a dedication to farmers, CHS embodies the essence of cooperatives – working together for mutual benefit and a brighter future for agriculture.
