Alice Lenora Mapel becomes Kingfisher County’s newest centenarian on Monday and will be feted with a week of celebration.
A Kingfisher native and graduate of Kingfisher High School, she was employed by Kingfisher Public Schools until retiring in 1983.
A resident of Homestead of Kingfisher (formerly Countrywood) and a member of the Kingfisher Baptist Church, Mrs. Mapel will be inducted into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
