Chamber hosts clay shoot to benefit Christmas parade
The Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce partnered with The Cedar Gate Sportsman’s Club to host its inaugural clay shoot to benefit the growing Christmas parade and fireworks event.
The event took place Friday, Sept. 15, at The Cedar Gate.
The teams consisted of four members made of Kingfisher locals, both past and present, as well as employees of the members of the chamber from outside Kingfisher.
Shooters made their way around one of Cedar Gate’s 15-station courses competing for the title of “Top Team.”
Following the shooting portion of the competition, there was a black powder exhibition consisting of a bowling ball cannon and anvil blast.

Awards were presented by Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce Director Shauna Rupp.
Door prizes went to:
• Dave Hartzell who correctly answered “What is today’s Clay Shoot benefi tting?”
• Eric Terrel from Darrouzett, Texas, who traveled the furthest;
• and Colton Demuth, the high shooter for the day.
The LuGreg Trucking team was the high-point team for the day.
Team members consisted of Craig Branstetter, Will Call, Tanner James and Eric Ludwig.
Participating teams also represented Buddy Barn, F&M Bank, Hartzell’s Heat & Air, Jacksons of Kingfisher, Mueggenborg Farms, National Wild Turkey Federation (Oklahoma Chapter), Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority, Terra Star Inc. and Tony’s Pump & Supply.
