Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce, City of Kingfisher and area volunteers knocked another event out of the park last week with an Independence Day celebration that drew more than 1,000 visitors to the city. Current Executive Director Shauna Rupp, above right, is building on the 19-year legacy of former chamber manager Judy Whipple, above left, who served as this year’s parade marshal. Most recently, the city was voted the favorite stop by riders in the Oklahoma Freewheel cycling tour, another chamber and city organized event that included camping in the park, free swimming and a full pancake breakfast.
