Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids on two projects Monday and then tabled action on both to allow closer inspection.

Two bids were opened on chip and seal work in all three districts, one from Circle Seal Paving of Goddard, Kan., and the other from Zyzer Asphalt and Chip Seal of Kingfisher. The bids will be tallied and reviewed before taking action at next week’s meeting.

Three bids were received and tabled to allow study by District 2 Commissioner Mike Sparks on a salt and sand spreader for District 2. The bids were submitted by Bruckner Trucking and Equipment of Oklahoma City at $57,579 and International Trucking and Equipment of Oklahoma City, which submitted two bids, one totaling $44,921.23 and the second for $44,360.92.

Commissioners also tabled action on a request for a road crossing permit for Western Farmers Electric in District 2. Sparks moved to table the matter in order for him to attend a meeting scheduled later in the week regarding the request.

In other action, commissioners approved the following actions:

• Declaration as surplus a copier-printer-fax for the election board;

• Declaration as surplus a credit card reader and a Central Processing Unit (CPU) for the court clerk’s office;

• A public access drive for Devon Energy on Victory Road one and three-eighths mile west of Kingfisher in District 3, and,

• Authorizing a cost estimate of $15,200 with Pinnacle Management Group for right-of-way acquisition in District 2 for a bridge over Turkey Creek on E 715 Road.
