The Chisholm Trail Museum’s annual Chuck Wagon Gathering, originally scheduled for next month, has been postponed.

The event will now be held March 19, 2022.

A number of contributing factors led to the event’s postponement, said museum director Jason Harris.

It was originally scheduled Oct. 1-2.

It will still feature a variety of wagons from across the region as exhibitors demonstrate traditional chuck wagon cooking.

Several other activities and entertainment acts are also planned.

The event will be free to the public.

Chisholm Trail Museum will be hosting a cast iron cooking class in November.

The class will explore historical and modern recipes as participants learn to care for and cook in cast iron cookware.

The class is planned Saturday, Nov. 13, from noon to 4 p.m.

It is restricted to ages 10 and older and pre-registration is required.
