Cimarron Electric continues to serve its valued members
Each October, electric cooperatives across the nation celebrate National Cooperative Month – a time to recognize the cooperative difference and the people who make it possible: you, the members.
At Cimarron Electric Cooperative, we take this time to reflect on our mission and recommit to the values that guide us year-round.
As a not-for-profit, member- owned cooperative, Cimarron Electric doesn’t serve shareholders – we serve the people and communities right here in central and northwest Oklahoma.
With over 19,000 meters and more than 4,500 miles of line, our focus is on delivering reliable, affordable power while reinvesting in our local infrastructure and economy.
Decisions at Cimarron aren’t made in distant boardrooms – they’re made right here at home, by a board of directors elected by you.
This local control ensures that our priorities reflect the real needs of our communities, whether that’s investing in grid upgrades or helping local students through scholarships and leadership programs like Youth Tour.
When severe weather strikes, our dedicated crews are ready to respond 24/7 , because we don’t just work here – we live here.
And our commitment goes far beyond the lines and poles.
Cimarron Electric sup-ports schools, civic organizations, volunteer fire departments and other community programs that help rural Oklahoma thrive.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for a future with increasing energy demands and evolving technologies.
From energy efficiency initiatives to exploring smart grid solutions, we’re working to ensure our system stays resilient, affordable and member-focused.
This Co-op Month, we invite you to celebrate not just Cimarron Electric, but the strength of our shared ownership.
You’re not just a customer – you’re a co-op member, a neighbor and a vital part of a community powered by purpose.
Thank you for your trust and continued support.
