Four local organizations are sponsoring a clean-up day Saturday as part of the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Program.

Kingfisher Rotary Club, Kingfisher Trails, Kingfisher Tree Board and Memory Lane are sponsoring the event and asking volunters to meet in the Interbank parking lot at 8 a.m.

Teams of volunteers will be assigned to the Newfield Community Park and nearby areas, as well as to trash pickup in the downtown area.

Teams will regroup at Interbank at 10 a.m. for a group photo and refreshments.

Safety vests, trash bags and gloves will be supplied by ODOT, but organizers recommend volunteers bring their own gloves if they have them. Shop broooms also are requested.

Drivers also are needed for those not up to physical activity.

The event ends at noon.
