A trio of Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office deputies recently completed an enhanced training program to further their education in law enforcement. Deputies (from left) Jason Wiebelt, Michael Farrar and Lauren Sparks completed the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). The three took part in a graduation ceremony last month in Enid. “CLEET training is an extensive 16-week course relating to everything an officer does in their day to day operations,” said Kingfisher County Sheriff Dennis Banther. “Cadets undergo firearms training, custody and control, defensive driving, legal block, community relations, less lethal, etc.,” Banther continued. “This allows for standardized training of all officers. Once they return, they then go through field training wherein we hone in on some of the more important skill sets they will use daily.” [Photo provided]
