Combs, Daugherty named Junior Lions

Kingfisher High School seniors Keynun Combs and Kadyn Daugherty are the February 2025 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Combs is the son of Tom and Erin Newell and Chris and Jamie Combs.

He’s active in FFA in which he serves as chaplain and is involved in ag communications, meat judging, agronomy and speech and was an American Legion Oklahoma Boys State delegate.

Combs is also on the Oklahoma Energy Resources student board, is an OCPA J. Rufus Fears Fellow, is a member of the National Honor Society and attends Crossings Community Church.

He plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in finance and economics.

Daugherty is the daughter of Derek and Micah Daugherty.

She’s active in tennis, STUCO, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was member of the 2023 academic state champion golf team and has been named Student of the Month and received the 4.0 Award.

Daugherty is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, on the In the Middle of a Miracle Teen Board and Center of Family Love Teen Board and attends First Baptist Church.

She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in nutritional sciences.
