BizConnect lunch

“The State of the Schools” is the topic for this month’s BizConnect Luncheon Sept. 21 at the Federated Church in Kingfisher.

Speakers include local superintendents Kurt Thomas of Chisholm Trail Technology Center and David Glover of Kingfisher Public Schools.

KHS principal John Harris and CTTC small business manager Dr. Daniel Craig also will be on hand.

Dinner theater

Kingfisher Creative is presenting “Death of a Hot Sauce Salesman,” a murder mystery dinner theater, at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 23 and 24, at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased online at bit.ly/DeathHotSauce SalesmanKC.

Wine festival

Hennessey’s annual Wine & Chocolate Festival is 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Memorial Park, 204 N. Main St., Hennessey.

A $20 ticket buys the opportunity to sample any of 100s of wines from more than 20 wineries across the state, plus chocolate treats.

(Anyone consuming wine must be at least 21 and present a valid driver’s license.)

Music show

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, for the Backwoods Country Music Show at Centre Theatre in downtown El Reno.

Admission is $12 for the gospel-themed show and free for children age 6 and under.
