Cimarron Electric Cooperative is hosting a Bedlam Battle Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at its headquarters north of Kingfisher.

All donors will receive their choice of an OU or OSU T-shirt.

Donations will be collected by the Oklahoma Blood Institute in its bloodmobile.

OBI supplies blood to the majority of hospitals across the state, including Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.

The organization also sent emergency blood products to Florida in the wake of Hurricane Ian.

Since the pandemic, blood and blood products have remained in short supply nationwide.

The need for types O-positive and O-negative are particularly urgent.

Redfork Station Crafts

The fourth annual Redfork Station Craft Show is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Dover Town Hall.

Anyone interested in a booth is asked to contact Lacey Winn.

Miriam’s Fun Run, Walk

Miriam the Comfort Dog from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kingfisher is looking for friends to join her at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, for a fun run and walk to benefit Meals On Wheels.

The $25 entry fee includes a T-shirt and participants have their choice of a one-mile walk or 5K run.
