Commissioners make quick work of Tuesday agenda
Kingfisher County Commissioners handled a routine weekly meeting in 10 minutes Tuesday.
Chairman Anthony Schwarz, District 1, and District 3 Commissioner Mike Sparks approved the following items in the absence of District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, vice chairman:
• Burial/cremation of Roserita McGlinchy, a resident of Shamrock Nursing Center, by Wilson Funeral Home of Kingfisher in the amount of $600.
• Disposing of obsolete Sterling Heater belonging to District 2, previously declared surplus by the BOCC, junked.
• Declaring equipment belonging to District 3 as surplus, including a 2008 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup truck, utility bed, Floodway crane, 1997 GMC 2-ton truck, 2020 Armorlite belly dump trailer and crane for service pickup.
• Declaration as surplus for assessor’s office (eight computer desktop processors).
• Public access drive for Nathan Farrow, including a 24-inch by 40-foot culvert, located six miles east and three and one-fourth miles north of Okarche, District 1 .
• Several changes in financial signatures for county accounts, including removing retired County Clerk Linda (Jeannie) Boevers from BancFirst general account and adding Emily Lee, removing Jeffrey Moss and Linda Boevers from ARPA account with BancFirst and adding Anthony Schwarz and County Clerk Emily Lee and leaving all other signors, removing Boevers, retired County Commissioner Ray Shimanek, former County Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny and Moss as BOCC chairman, from the Educational Fa-cilities Account and adding Lee, Commissioner Sparks, Moss and Schwarz as chairman of the BOCC.
• Adding Opioid Abatement to the county chart of accounts and adding Schwarz, BOCC chairman, as requesting official and County Commission Secretary Angie Meyer as receiving officer.
Others present for the meeting included Sheriff Aaron Pitts and County Engineer Nik Smith.
