Coordinating in Carolina...from Kingfisher

By

ZACK BUSEMAN of RCX SPORTS was the guest speaker of the Kingfisher Lions club last week. Assisted by his wife Jaryn, Zack told the club members and guests of his unique job, which is managing North Carolina NFL flag football for children aged pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from his home here. Buseman said the league typically consists of thousands of kids and he is able to “run it all remotely” including registration fees, sign-ups for players and coaches and the hiring of referees from his phone and computer. Raised in Iowa, Buseman said he earned a college degree in sports management and worked for the City of Yukon Parks and Recreation for several years before taking the job with RCX Sports, which is currently operating in several states across the nation. He said his uncle Mickey Buseman, longtime salesman for Johnsons of Kingfisher, resides with his family in Piedmont. Through his visits to the state as a youth, Zack said he made the early decision after graduating from college to live here, which is where he met his wife Jaryn (Frey), who works at the Kingfi sher Chamber of Commerce. Jaryn is a graduate of Kingfisher High School and Oklahoma State University. She is the daughter of Mike and Jamae Frey. The couple was introduced by Jarod Hendrix, president of the local service club. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
