County commission approves purchase of four new tractors
Kingfisher County Commissioners bought four new John Deere T6155 tractors for Districts 1 and 2 in the amount of $599,241.76 on state contract Monday at their weekly meeting.
They declared as surplus a list of obsolete heating and air conditioning equipment plus a Snapper mower listed under general government so that the items can be removed from the county’s property lists, meeting state auditor and inspector requirements.
Two professional service agreements received approval, including a legal services contract with Bass Law for services relating to ad valorem tax issues and a contract between the county assessor’s office and Total Assessment Solutions Corp. for fiscal year 2025 in the amount of $55,000 for oil field assessment services. Commissioners approved the county’s Opioid Abatement grant, payment of $2,008.50 for eight bridge safety inspections by Circuit Engineering District No. 8, and three roadway crossing permits for Devon Energy for 12.75-inch lines in District 3, located five, six and seven miles south of Omega.
Commissioners also approved a request to remove Brook Kunneman and to add Jo Kulwartin as receiving officer in the district attorney’s office.
All commissioners – Jeff Moss, District 1, Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, and Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 – were present for the meeting along with County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk, Sheriff Dennis Banther and 911 Director Ryan Deatherage.
